Picking up after your dog

Neutral Neutral

What it really means

Dog owners are expected to bag and bin their dog's mess everywhere, including parks and pavements — it's the law in many areas and not doing so can bring a fine. Councils provide dog-waste and general bins for it. Leaving it is seen as very antisocial.

Example conversation

A: My dog just went on the grass. B: Best bag it up — there's a bin over there, and it's expected here.

What you could say back

“Of course — have you got a spare bag?”
