What it really means
Another polite request opener, common in emails. "I was wondering" (past tense) is even softer. It is a request, not real wondering — a reply is expected.

又一个礼貌的请求开头，邮件里很常见。过去式 I was wondering 语气更软。这是请求而非真的"好奇"——对方是在等你答复的。
