CV

see-VEE /ˌsiːˈviː/
Neutral Neutral

What it really means

Short for "curriculum vitae" — the document listing your education and work history. In the UK people say "CV", not "resume". A UK CV is usually two pages, with no photo and no date of birth.

Example conversation

A: Can you send over your CV by Friday? B: Sure, I'll update it tonight and email it to you.

What you could say back

“Of course — is a two-page CV okay?”
