What it really means
The letter "x" at the end of a text means a kiss, but between friends it is just friendliness, like a smiley — not romance. More x's = warmer tone. British people (often women) use it with friends and family; leaving it out with a close friend can even seem cold. Do not use it in professional emails.

短信结尾的 x 代表"亲吻"，但朋友之间只是表示友好，类似表情符号，并非浪漫含义。x 越多语气越亲热。英国人（女性居多）常对朋友家人使用；和熟人聊天不加反而可能显得冷淡。职场邮件里千万别用。
