Sexual health services are free for everyone in the UK — including visitors and regardless of immigration status — and they are strictly confidential: results and visits are not shared with your GP without your consent, and nothing reaches family, university or the Home Office. You book directly or walk in; no referral is needed, and many areas offer free postal self-test kits ordered online.
Clinics handle testing, treatment, all forms of contraception and emergency contraception without judgement — staff have seen everything and their only agenda is health. Emergency contraception is also available from pharmacies. If cultural pressure makes attending feel difficult, remember the confidentiality is real and legally protected; find services through the official NHS search.
