Should I tip taxis and delivery drivers?

Neutral Neutral

What it really means

It's optional. Many people round the taxi fare up to the nearest pound or add about 10% for a longer trip. For food delivery, a pound or two is a kind gesture but most people don't always tip. Hairdressers often get a small tip too.

Example conversation

A: The fare is nine pounds forty. Should I tip the taxi driver? B: You could just give him ten and say keep the change. It's optional though.
